It's filming Thursday, so it'll be on air soon. Will you Watch?

Will you be watching to see how Paganism in the US today is portrayed? Would you watch to see just what all the fuss is about?

If your religion is "against" WitchCraft or magick, will you watch to see the effect this discussion has on the audience?

Do you think they'll attempt to film a ritual or spell for the viewing audience?

Well, I work when the Tyra show is on, so I'll have to keep track of the commercials so I can tape it when it comes on.

I'd definitely like to see how we're protrayed, and what kind of reaction the audience has. I highly doubt they'll attempt to film a ritual or spell. At least, I hope they won't. Ritual and spellwork is far too private for television.

I do hope that at some point Tyra points out the beliefs and fears centered around witchcraft and witches dates back to the 15th century to show how outdated the ideas are that are still held today and professed as truth by so many.

Wow, what a great way to promote your religion!

Who says Wiccans don't recruit?

The answer is "no", not interested. I guess I'll Xerox Tyra a copy of "Crafting The Art of Magic" mail it to her.

(BTW, I seem to recall all this stuff about secrecy when I was a solitary Wiccan years ago. To Know, To Will, To Dare, To Keep Silent. The " To Keep Silent" part seems to have gone out the window.)

Ya know, a few years back I had the Rickie Lake show call me and ask if I knew some folks who would be willing to be on her show.

I suggested that yes, I know many witches and Wiccans, real people, who would be more than interested in doing her show.

The rep then asked what they were like. I said, well, like you and me. Jobs, pay taxes, mortgages, you know... real people.

Well, guess what? That's not what they wanted. They wanted teenage gothlings who were dressed in costumes and had no clue.

I told her she was looking in the wrong place. We said good-bye and we hung up.

She found her gothling teenagers in costumes, sold them on TV as Wiccan, and even when the witches in the audience, some actual real people, stood up and said something, they were cut out of the final production, all except a nice Wiccan woman in a stunning red dress.

Well, guess what. No sense getting bent out of shape. TV will make us look like whatever they need to fill their ratings this week, regardless of what you do. And in the long run, it really doesn't matter, does it? We go on, regardless of what other people think.

So, relax... Reverend is it? Gee, I didn't know we were ordaining folks now. Hmmm.... And we need clergy why? So they can rant about stuff that really has no meaning in the long run?

Each of us is our own connection to Deity so remind me again why we need clergy?

Where did you get this information? I looked on her show's website and I see nothing on this. I'd be interested in seeing how she portrays it, given her christian upbringing.

Okay Rev. Amy, you need to take a freaking chill pill and quit worrying about what people think about your religion. And no, I won't watch.
