I think the reason that it only says that he was weeping was because it was such a huge moment. He was just like you or I, human, he had emotions, so of course he cried, but I also like to think that he laughed with everyone. I mean he was always on the road with friends so he must have had some good times and laughs. I think it was in his nature and that if it was recorded everytime he laughed, half the Bible would be full of these stories.

There may be no written account that Jesus smiled but that doesnt mean he was never happy...
1 Timoty 1:11Â "...according to the glorious good news of the HAPPY GOD, with which I was entrusted."
Since Jesus is God's image we can be sure that he has that quality too.
Also in Proverbs 8:30Â we read Jesus talking... "then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being GLAD before him all the time, 31Â being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men.

The world is so bad I can hardly smile or laugh. What page are you on now in the Atheist Guide to Harassing Believers...page 92...tell them Jesus was always unhappy...they'll surely deny him now.

21In that same hour He rejoiced and gloried in the Holy Spirit and said, I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have concealed these things [relating to salvation] from the wise and understanding and learned, and revealed them to babes (the childish, unskilled, and untaught). Yes, Father, for such was Your gracious [a]will and choice and good pleasure.

Charismatic Christians and their books show a different aspect of Jesus. The artist shows Jesus with a sense of humor and ability to laugh (smile).

This is the impression that was given by the texts that were chosen for inclusion in the bible.
They are far from descriptive of the real Jesus.
If you want a more realistic view of Jesus get a copy of the course in miracles. It is pure unadulterated Jesus.

I'm sure he smiled and teaching love and forgiveness like that I am sure he had a beautiful smile.
Incidentally I'm an atheist. I just think Jesus should be respected for his teachings, I leave the supernatural stuff out of it.

Actually Jesus's teachings contain a lot of humor which we have lost but would have made the listeners laugh. His discourse on John the baptst. "What went you out to see...a reed shaken in the wilderness..." actually was humorous to the listeners of his time. For encouragement. listen to ttb.org.
