Want some honest opinions, both male and female:
I recently found a website, Don't date him Girl.com, which is a website that you can place "warnings" about exes. I put one up, and was asked by the "ex" to take it donw- it hurt his feelings. I'm considering it, but after what he pulled on me and still today, I feel I have a right to post my opinion. Am I wrong- is this being vengeful or vindictive, or as long as I not overexaggerating or lying, all's fair in love and war?

What did you write about him? Is it fact or just your interpretation? What is your reason for posting it?
Some guys might earn a spot on that web site, but if there is anything about your opinion or your feelings in what you posted then you are likely "wrong" and "being vengeful".
It sounds like you posted just to get even, not to warn others that he might be dangerous to date. What did he "pull" on you today? I think you would have told us if it weren't just your tender feelings being bent due to your involvement with a guy that you are not compatible with. Unless he drugged you or hit you or some such thing, you have no business posting about him.
You might think about what is going to be written on the net about you when somebody starts the Don't Date Her website.

The lady who owns the website was on Dr. Phil being sued about the postings she allows on the website. She's being sued by a lawyer who says the things posted about him are untrue.
How did your ex know about the posting..did you tell him or does he also visit the website?
I think you have to be careful about the things you post on websites about people. So many people have access to that information. Even though it may true you know the man will say you're lying. Plus is he even worth all the trouble that you could get in legally if he decided to take you to court?

Unless he was a real jerk who might possibly harm others, that was a really mean thing to do. Everyone grows with time and your ex might realize that his behavior wasn't the greatest. Even if he doesn't, why do you care? The website posting is like advice for people who are considering dating him. And what they say about advice is true: wise don't need it and fools don't heed it.

Well i personally think you should put a warning about your ex if you think he is a threat to any girl or if he's dangerous and stuff like that. I think you shouln't put stuff like he's a jerk, or lame thing all couples go through. You must hate this guy, right, after all hate is love, that means you still care about him to be spending time on him

You need to provide more information. If he cheated on you, by all means keep it up to warn other women. Likewise, if he was abusive in any way, women deserve to know that information too.

That site has been the subject of defamation lawsuits. However, if you speak the truth (not lies or malicious opinions), the truth is generally protected.

That should be illegal. It is slander and defamation of character. I see lawsuits coming and the sites being terminated soon.
