Run Excel, click on the menu item Help/about. The product ID is the serial number.

2. Click on "Help"
3. Click on "About Microsoft Excel"

It's in there.

Download Jellybean Key finder:(http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml ). It’ll tell you the serial number for any office product (the one entered when first installing the program) and it also tells you the Windows key as well.

Help, About Microsoft Excel. You should see a section that says "This product is licensed to" and it should have a "Product ID"

You've just reminded me of something! I could kick myself for losing the booklet in which I had my offcial serial number. The one I have to enter whenever I install my software.
