You could try selling candy, chips, or candles. When the weather is nice have a yard sale and/or car wash. If you get snow where you live, have the whole group split into groups and go shovel snow. Or you can put containers at different stores to raise money. You could also tag at different stores like the kids sports teams do. You could also join up with another youth group in your area to raise money, then both groups on the trip together. Try them all, you can use the extra money and maybe take two trips.

Our Church did a "Rock a Thon", they took pledges on how long they could sit in a rocking chair at the church. They got Five min. each hour to use the restroom, but ate and drank soda for 14.5 hours. They used the money for a camping trip.
Another idea is to collect bottle return slips. People would turn in their soda and beer bottles and give the slips to the Kids.
Bake sale is usually good.
Yard work is another way. Get them all together and work as a team.

Potato bars are great. Have people donate the supplies then sell baked potatoes at an evening event at the church. We did it during revival. Another good one is a church garage sale, but it takes a ton of time to set up and clean up. We made $1000 from ours, though. Another good idea might be some sort of Valentine's Day cookie sales... where you sell heart shaped cookies... that's what our church is doing.

Raffles! Get some of the business people in your church to donate items to raffle. Maybe one of them has a way of printing the tickets. Also, you could sell Kids for a day! They could do yard work, clean windows, attics etc. Dog washes have always been a good fund raiser too. Make sure the kids are involved!
Good luck and make it fun!

car washes always work, create crafts and hold a bake/craft fair, instead of a walkathon, have a book of the bibleathon where people have to recite all of the books of the bible, and people donate to as many as the memorize... if they make 'll learn it... Hope it doesn't sound corny...
Or make Christmas ornament sets for next year, or some type of theme and make an entire basket with cards, etc, and hold a raffle...Raffles earn a lot of money...

Whatever you do, DO NOT send them out with or leave them alone with ANY Catholic Fathers! They'll find ways to make money on kids, they're good at it!
