Not by a long shot!!!!! He was not a Christian even though he claimed he was appointed by God. The bible back then was more popular than now. But He was not a Christian. He believed in evolution and that's why he did some of the things he did. He tried to kill all the jews b/c he thought they were close to pure ape, and africans were next on the list. He did this to speed up natural selection. Nobody should ever say that Hitler was a Christian. He was a follower of the devil himself.

While Hitler's parents were Roman Catholics--or at least his mother was,--Hitler himself rejected Catholicism early on and adhered to what he called Positive Christianity, which was basic Protestant Christianity purged of everything that he found objectionable. Like Thomas Jefferson (forgive the juxtaposition of these two very different men), he believed that traditional Christianity had been corrupted. His idea of Jesus was that of a Jew-hater.

"The Führer is deeply religious, but deeply anti-Christian. He regards Christianity as a symptom of decay." ~ Joseph Goebbels, diary entry, 1939

Hitler was a Catholic and believed he was doing Gods work when he had the ideology of genocide. The Nazi symbol was created out of the cross and was influenced by the Ku Klux Klan.

Hitler was a baptized Roman Catholic, as were many of the leaders in his government. Why weren’t they excommunicated? Why didn’t the Catholic Church condemn the horrors that these men were committing? Why did Protestant churches also keep silent?

OKAY.. THIS IS KIND OF OFF TOPIC AND NOT A DIRECT ANSWER TO THE QUESTION BUT THE QUESTION MADE ME THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE N I REALLY WANT PPL TO READ THIS BECAUSE I REALLY AM COMFUSED.. MOST OF THE PPL THAT REPLIED TO THIS QUESTION SAID HITLER WASNT A PRACTICING CHRISTAIN.. THEREFORE CHRISTIAINITY WASNT TO BLAME FOR HIS ACTIONS.. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND.. WHEN A PERSON WHO CLAIMS THEY ARE MUSLIMS DOES A WRONG ACTION THAT IS PROHIBITED IN ISLAM.. PPL BLAME THE RELIGION ISLAM AS A WHOLE FOR THAT HORRIBLE ACTION.. I DO NOT SEE HOW IT IS FAIR HOW PPL DO NOT THINK ALL CHRISTAINS ARE BAD BECUASE OF HITLERS ACTIONS BUT THINK ALL MUSLIMS ARE BAD BY THE ACTIONS OF A FEW "MUSLIMS" WHO ACTUALLY ARE NOT SHOULD NOT EVEN BE CALLED MUSLIMS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT ACT LIKE MUSLIMS AND DO NOT PRACTICE THE RELIGION CORRECTLY.. I AM NOT SAYING PPL SHOULD THINK CHRISTAINS OR OTHER RELIGIONS ARE BAD.. I JUST THINK THAT WE SHOULD NOT STEROTYPE A WHOLE GROUP BY THE DEEDS OF ONE PERSON SUCH AS HITLER...

Hitler was no Christian. He was a very evil man. He difinitely had a lot of demons. I think it is horrible how satan can influence people like that.

Definitely not. Raised in a nominally Catholic household, true. But he not only clearly subscribed to atheistic naturalism and evolutionism, he also tried to resurrect Teutonic nature religions because they showed the supposed glory of past Germanic history.

He practiced his own beliefs. Nothing in Christianity justifies his actions.
