Dennis Pragre reports his father smoked cigars as long as he can remember and his father is 86 years old and in near perfect health!

He also smoked often in front of this mother who is 85 years old and she also is in near perfect health! (So lung cancer by 2nd hand smoke is just that! A smoke screen by mad at cigarrette company for making too much money a****s!)

Though, he has heard of lip & mouth cancer from cigars he has never met any cigar smoker who has them.

Some say Bull Clinton (The alleged rapist and traitor) stopped smoking cigars and had a heart attack, yippeeee!

As with some of the answers you got. Some people have been smoking for years and are still alive. But then again, there are other people who do not smoke and get sick. Smoking can cause a lot of illnesses like bronchitis, emphysema or even cancer just to name a few. So why start? In the medical context, significant smoking is quantified as smoking 1 pack of cigarettes per day for 10 years but this is not definite or absolute. So I ask you again, why start?

that is a mystery that may never be solved. Some may smoke, and never be ill, others die from smoke related diseases. My question to you is, why would you want to take the chance at hurting or killing yourself.

it really depends on the person. some are more vulnerable to smoke than others...maybe you'll never get ill...maybe in a couple of years...

some people get sick on the first puff and turn green.
sometimes it takes zero.
if you are talking about mouth or tongue cancer or some
of the longer=taking complications, then probably at
least 10 years.
