Hi,
From experience, I have found the only way to get over it is first of all you need to answer a question to yourself.
If you were at fault or you were the one who did the breaking up, it is time to be a man and contact her and apologize to her for your actions and let her know you do not want to be without her.
And then hope and pray that she will accept your apologize.
If the above does not apply, do not try and forget, instead think about it, feel the hurt, cry, moan and groan and feel all it has to offer, and then accept this conclusion. The girl you cared so much for has ceased to exist. In a way she had died and you need to get all the hurt out, remembering all the good times, and when you have no more hurt to feel, take a deep breath and in your mind, hold a funeral and pay your respects to the one you once knew, but has ceased to be.
You will then be ready to get on with your life.
The above is a high tech method known as Neural Linguistic Programming.

Breaking up with your first girlfriend can seem catastrophic, but it it is important to become active (not necessarily in dating), but in other activities so that your emotional drive is diverted away from your loss and on forwarded to discovering a new you. Avoid the word "alone". It has a negative connotation. I would use the phrase "between relationships", or "unattached at the moment", or even "on the prowl". Healing comes with time and with a renewed strength that you yourself will find. I wish you the best and know that there is some girl who is going to be very lucky when she finds you.

Best thing would be to get another girl but sometimes that doesn't happen right away so do something that will build your confidence and will allow you to meet others as well such as Karate or pilates or learn something new you can share with someone to have a lil less alone time worst hurt there is your doing it now so what don;t kill ya makes ya stronger good luck and heres to more strength.

break-ups are really hard. it takes time to get over them.give yourself some time to be sad and evaluate the relationship but don't stay sad for too long. everyone goes through heartbreak so what you are feeling is normal. know that there is someone out there for you that will love you and you will have a wonderful relationship. don't beat yourself up. things will get better.

Don't get a new girlfriend yet, that screws you up real bad. Just take some time to yourself, watch a slasher film, write poetry (those are the things I do)

theres nothing that can ease the pain. only time will help you move on. try to stay busy and keep ur mind off her. get rid of stuff that might remind u of her and go meet new people.

nothing actually. All u can do is to keep yourself busy. esp at night, drink and club with your friends till you're dead beat and then sleep. The worst thing is not able to sleep and keep thinking about it. Try not to be alone for the time being I guess.
then try to focus on you life, like work n stuffs. Just try to keep your mind off her, thats all.

Time will heal the pain, nothing else. And a new girlfriend helps.
