Your friend is selfish. Dumping him will only make him feel worse. Maybe your friend should put herself in his place.Considering its only been two months. The answer is right there: She doesn't care for him, only for herself. If it were a few years back I could understand.

Hey Dig, No, there really isn't anything you can do, other than what you're already doing: being a friend. She is in a funk right now and feeling pretty lousy about herself. Although the breakup may not have been her fault at all, she is going through a guilt phase wherein she thinks it IS her fault. Just continue pestering her. Although it's annoying as heck, she'll eventually get it that you do care for her and are just being there for her. Too often, people go through this without any kind of support system. This can lead to major depression, which is dangerous if untreated. However, love ain't always grand and sometimes life does this to wake us up. It probably wasn't a great relationship, anyway and the world is full of people just looking for the opportunity to love another. Her prince charming will eventually come along. You deserve a big medal of honor for standing by her, even when she thinks you're being fake. Keep at it! And thanks from all the lovelorn (like me) who have gone through similar circumstances. Peace!

My brother passed away when i was 21. My b/f at the time actually looked me in the face while i was still on the phone finding out and said why are you upset he lives far away and you never see him anyway. I can tell you my heart froze and i hated him instantly the relationship never recovered. My husband lost his son and we got together helping each other grieve. Him over his son me over my previous marriage. He deserves better so if she dumps him for grieving she is not worth having. He will find someone better someday and could take this time to deal with his grief. Are you his friend ? He may need a shoulder now and then if she is gone.

Sounds like you want to be the girlfriend.
I would stick with him. However, being girlfriend and boyfriend means that you can leave the relationship whenever you want to. Marriage is different. You need to be there and honor God and the committment you both made.
Technically she is not wrong, but he needs someone and evidently she isn't the one.

WELL IT'S GOOD AND BAD,YEAH IT WOULD BE GREAT TO IF SHE COULD BE AROUND BUT NOT AT HER EXPENSE.BUT IF HE GET ALL VERBALLY ABUSIVE WITH HER THEN SHE SHOULD NOT PUT UP WITH THAT.IT IS WAY TO EARLY TO MOVE ON SO THAT IS OUT THE QUESTION FOR THE BOY,I GUESS SOME PEOPLE IN HER SHOES WOULD THINK MORE ABOUT IT.AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU HAVE TO BE THERE FOR YOUR FRIEND.

Personally, she needs to talk to him. Have you seen that one commercial
'who does depression hurt? EVERYONE.'
How would you feel if your little bro, or sis just died? Its a tragic thing. If it were my guy, I would stick with him, after all I love him, and want to help him.

i think that your frend doesnt love him and doesnt even care....first of all she doesnt care about him because if he was depressed about his brothers death imagin how depressed he's going to be now that shes gone out of his life...if she rele loved him she would of stuck by him and tryed to comfort him so that way he moves outa depression quicker...if he knows that shes there for him he wont think that he's alone and your friend is obviously cold hearted for doing that

Not really. She is trying to protect herself from going insane. Maybe it will a good idea for her to leave him. If he sobers up and still wants her, he can come back and try to show her that he is over the dumps. Otherwise, he'll just drag her to the bottom with him, which would not be fair.
