Has anyone ever used Hotwire.com to book a hotel? There are some really good prices on there, but it won't tell you which hotel you are getting or its exact location until you pay. Is this a scam or has anyone used this site and been pleased with it?

Hotwire is my favorite. I've booked both hotels and airfare through this site. I booked a motel through them in September this past year when my family went to the California state fair. I chose based on area and how many stars the motel was rated with. We ended up in a fantastic motel. The rooms went for $160 dollars a night but we paid $63 dollars. Motels get a limited number of rooms that don't book and rather than let them sit empty they put them out on a site like Hotwire.com. I believe there is a link on Hotwires page explaining about the less expensive rates and why they can offer them. You definitely don't have to be afraid of booking a motel through them. It's more of an adventure, an exciting one. Best Wishes!
