No way! If you read the bible you will see that money is the root of all evil. Sure we need it to survive, but with money also comes the seven deadly sins. MSN did a poll on lottery winners that won a lot of money and it didn't make them very happy. Take Jack Whittaker for example, he won the single largest powerball and his life was ruined afterwards. Do some research, it seems like it would be everything but it is not. America has become so materialistic and with technology as advanced as it is we always want more, now! When you take a moment to count your blessings and realize all you have, money really has nothing to do with it!

I work every day just to make ends meet. I have stressed out so long over making enough money to pay bills and have enough to buy food and gas and such that I can say with certainty that winning the lottery would buy me some happiness. It would give me some peace of mind and the ability to just relax and breathe for once. Would it be long term, neverending happiness, I don't know. But it would definatly be happiness for a while anyway!!

No money does not buy happiness: but it goes a long way in making your life a lot easier. and an easier life can be a happier life as well; that part is up to the person involved.

I don't think it buys you total happiness but it helps make your life a lot happier. For example most of my problems are because of money issues...I want to go back to college but I can't until I pay off bills, I want to go shopping all the time but I can't because money, I can hardly afford grocieres, let alone gas!! my cat needed surgery and had to put it on a credit card now trying to pay that off...money just makes life so much easier!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely not. Money helps Im sure but I think that happiness is something that comes from within yourself. Thinking of everything that you have and "counting your blessings" should make you happy realizing how lucky we are.

No, but it buys me the things I need so that I can quit my job and focus on the things that bring me happiness.
