Absolutely. NiMH batteries are designed for higher drain devices. They put "digital" on there as they're the most common high drain devices such as a digital camera, portable TV or DVD player etc.

NiMH are the best rechargeable batteries out there that come in standard sizes. They don't have a memory effect like NiCd's do where you have to discharge them all the way before charging them again. It's still a good idea to do that every once in a while, but it's not required. NiMH batteries also have a higher capacity. This is rated in mAH (stands for Milliamp hours). The bigger the number the better. Note that in some larger sized batteries like C and especially D cells, some cheap rechargeable battery manufacturers actually stick smaller batteries inside a plastic container! That will certainly make them cheaper but they won't last nearly as long as the real deal.

You can get some great deals on eBay for high capacity rechargeable cells. You can find a decent rapid charger for cheap on there too. Just remember, the higher the mAH the more capacity it has (and also the longer they take to charge, making it more important to get a rapid charger!). Get NiMH, not NiCd!

they should since you're basically operating an electric motor similar to a childs remote control car and they suggest NiMH batteries for that. Energizer?
