Gen 18 - When the Lord appeared to Abraham and Abraham saw three men are they one in the same (the Trinity) or was there three man ther and the Lord was there as well?

OH my Spelling, I mean WAS it the Lord or was the Lord with them?

To understand chapter 18 of Genesis you need to understand the context.

Did the LORD appear to Abraham?

No, why

John 1:18 No man has seen God at any time;

Who did Abraham talk to?

Please compare:

Gen 18:22 At this point the men turned from there and got on their way to Sod´om; but as for Jehovah, he was still standing before Abraham.

with

Gen 19:1 Now the two angels arrived at Sod´om by evening,

So we know 2 of the men were angels,

Was the third man, an angel also or God?

Please compare Judges 13:21 And Jehovah’s angel did not repeat appearing to Ma·no´ah and his wife anymore. Then it was that Ma·no´ah knew that he had been Jehovah’s angel. 22 Consequently Ma·no´ah said to his wife: “We shall positively die, because it is God that we have seen.”

Did you notice that seeing Jehovah's angel to the ancient Hebrews was the same as seeing Jehovah?

Remember John 1:18, NO ONE, not Moses, not Abraham has seen God at anytime.

An angel of Jehovah remained talking to Abraham, as God's representative.

Yes the Lord (Jesus) was there as one of the three. Did the three include the trinity? Theoretically possible; but probably not.

This is only my thought, but I believe the other two were the angels that appeared to Lot in Sodom.
