Hi. Do you have any suggestions for a good gym in San Francisco, specifically one with Financial District location(s)?

What gym do you belong to? How are the fees? Do you like it? (We are fed up with our current gym and looking to switch). Any input is appreciated! Thanks.

I work at the Jewish Community Center (on Presidio& California), and it is the nicest gym I've been to in the city. Plus the people are hella nice, and they have just about everything (pool, steam room, sauna, basketball, yoga, pilates, machines, hella cardio, and many unqiue classes/events) + you DON'T have to be jewish.

I'm also a member at Bally's on Alemany Dr. I like the equipment alot there/ They have alot of free weights, and the simple, muscle specific machines, plus a special stretching area.

I've been to 24hr, and the facility in general is just straight dirty.

I don't know how old you are, but if you are under 30 you can get a good start up fee at Bay Club. Bay Club is a gym that you won't mind having to go to. There are TVs on every piece of cardio, a great basketball court, sauna, hot tubs, racquetball, etc. They also have a cafe on site... very posh. Another posh gym near the financial is Sports Club LA. My co-worker goes to this one and spends hours there because she says it doesn't feel like a gym. She loves it. There are of course many 24 hour finesses and a Club One at the Embarcadero, but they aren't nearly as nice as these other options.

Oh and I believe if you're under 30 the start up fee at Bay club is $250 and about $80/month. Sports Club LA is about $100 a month I believe. I looked into Club One, but thought 24 Hour Fitness was better (24 hours is about $30/month and Club One is about $60) Good luck!

Oh and in case you couldn't tell, I'm partial to Bay Club!

what number days will you've? What kinds of issues do you opt for to do? ultimately, what type of budget are you on? December might want to be cool and moist. If I were on our honeymoon in SF in Dec, i'd probable lease a vehicle andchronic to Napa and stay at a mattress and breakfast for an evening or 2. i'd also take a driving excursion of countless the SF web content - Golden Gate Bridge at evening, Coit Tower, and different position others have listed above. i'd also eat a effective dinner in Sausalito or Tiburon after darkish - eye-catching view of the city. a bike journey down Mt. Tamalpais or a visit to Muir Woods will be effective. also driving as a lot as bypass see the redwoods will be on my list. SF has large eating places - a foodstuff excursion will be relaxing in case you savour that. the final analysis is you won't be able to do each and every thing in some days. Do the things you would really savour and are on your budget and leave something else for your 10 year anniversary. Congratulations on your wedding ceremony.

I belong to 24 hour fitness, and I'm glad about that because I often find myself in different areas in the Bay Area, such as San Leandro, Marin, or Mountain View, and there is always a gym available. Plus, you can go any time you want, night or day.
