Illegal immigrants are a drain on our country's public resources. The jobs they fill would otherwise be performed by our native poor, and with a shrinking labor pool wages for such jobs would increase. As for the $20 head of lettuce nonsense that is piped by so many: With better wages paid to native workers in many industries, consumer prices may rise modestly, but be more than offset by gains made by poor Americans, who don't send their money abroad.
Illegal immigrants don't hurt the economy of the rich, but they most decidedly hurt wages and job opportunities of the poor native born, mostly white and black. In addition, they degrade and exhaust tax-supplemented resources that serve poor and middle class americans, like public education, health care and infrastructure.
What do they deserve? Nothing, the better question is what do we as Americans and taxpayers deserve? We deserve much more, and we get much less in large part because of the glut of poor, undereducated illegals.

Well stated. Its already been proven - if not widely reported by the media - by the Swift Raids. The illegals who were deported are already being quickly replaced by Americans and LEGAL immigrants. Their having NO trouble finding people. All they had to do was raise wages and benefits and actually LOOK for them. There are no jobs Americans won't do.

It's not America's job to provide jobs to illegals. We are not morally or ethically bond to do so. We can not be expected - no matter how much we may want to - give every poverty stricken family on Earth or even in Mexico a job, an education, and health care. That's what their own governments are for and if their governments can't or won't then it is incumbent upon the people of that country to make a change.

We can no longer allow this drain on our economy that does nothing but drag down the standard of living for the people in this great country. America needs to take care of its own first.

The economy does NOT depend on illegal aliens. Sure, greedy CEOs (making $50 to $150 MILLION a year) and business owners depend on illegal aliens, but the only thing illegal aliens are contributing to is the collapse of our economy and making the rich richer.

Without illegal aliens, the price of agricultural products and other goods and services will NOT soar. The definitive study on this subject is the University of Iowa's "How Much Is That Tomato?" The study concludes that 'since labor is such a small component of the end-price of agricultural products (which includes price to the growers, transportation costs, processing /storage costs, grocers' profit, etc.), using minimum wage workers instead of illegal aliens would increase prices of agricultural products by approximately 3 percent in the summer and 4 percent in the winter ... hardly the making of $10 heads of lettuce, $25 hamburgers, $1,000 per night Days Inn hotel rooms like the pro-illegal alien lobby claims.

Consumers are NOT benefiting from lower labor costs. Again, it's CEOs and business owners who benefit from taxpayer subsidies for their illegal alien workers. The Big Three automakers say they moved so many jobs to Mexico because their labor costs are 80 percent less than in America. Anybody notice the price of new cars spiraling downward under NAFTA?

So, before you believe the prevalent pack of lies perpetuated by the illegal alien lobby, which makes billions off this government-sanctioned criminal activity, ask yourself who's saying this garbage and look at what they have to gain.

you may upload the added drain on aspects. it really is predicted that unlawful extraterrestrial beings contained in the U. S. are utilising 10 million gallons of gas and someplace round 15 million gallons of heating oil a three hundred and sixty 5 days. Many U.S. electorate help the unlawful extraterrestrial beings because they artwork for much less money; in spite of the undeniable fact that, those electorate are paying larger expenses for hosital and remedy becasue the illegasl do no longer pay and we make up the version. shall we all artwork for plenty a lot less if we did no longer could pay taxes, medical costs, coverage and issues maximum illegals do no longer pay. The illegals, inspite of the position they're from, are an embarresment and insult to the criminal immigrants who're more effective than welcome contained in the U. S.. u . s . of america has continuously welcomed immigrants; they're portion of why the U. S. is what it really is (we are all instructors, we are all scholars) and we could continuously do each little thing we may be able to to help criminal IMMIGRANTS come to Amerca and be triumphant. we do not choose ILLEGALS inspite of WHAT THEIR REASONING OR MOTIVATION IS!

You are absolutely correct in your economic analysis of illegal immigration. All you must do is convince the hundreds of thousands of small and large businessmen who exploit the cheap labor resource. Then turn your attention to the tens of millions of American consumers who purchase the questionably lower priced goods and services produced by the illegals. And finally, address your concerns to your apathetic Democratic or Republican representative who long ago have sold their vote and influence to the highest bidder.

I sense and feel your frustration. It is a burden to be so right in the face of so much blind ignorance and short term profiteering. None the less, keep up the good fight. Sooner or later, people will listen and respond. Hopefully, it will not be too late for America!

Absolutely bogus....your argument says it all.....

Stephanie: most Americans do make their own way and ask nothing from the government... but what about the seniors that fought for our country but unfortunately worked before the days of exboriant salaries....they cut medicare and most pay taxes on their social security, many truly have no families & must choose between food & medicine but most do not qualify for any sort of food stamps, what about our government cutting care to those with head injuries from the iraq war, what about the families of some in iraq needing food stamps, shouldn't their pay be raised, what about areas of people that were working (we call them the working poor) who have now lost their jobs because illegals have come in & will work for less which they are able to do because our government is giving them (thru our tax dollars) free food, free housing, free medical, they pay little or no taxes and flood our schools with anchor babies.........some school systems spend up to 67% of their budget on ESL classes as mandated by the government - don't our children deserve an education - middle-class Americans are the ones picking up the tab...I suggest you do some research on the negative impact of illegals on our country before you ever think about calling us freeloaders!

After reading more "answers" I can tell school's out - "they know not what they speak"

Yes it is bogus. They drain tax dollars and they send $60 billion a year out of the country. They do almost nothing to generate wealth(increase the GDP) in the U.S.. However, they are helping Mexico.

The end result is a net loss which is bad for America.

Illegal ALIENS (not immigrants) hurt the economy. Taxpayers have to pay for all the services the Illegal Alien Criminals demand.

Some people are so greedy. What we deserve? I don't need anything. I work hard, go to school and I DO NOT FREELOAD off the government. I think people get mad because some people think they need more handouts from the government. I pay for my own school, in fact I don't need the government to help me with anything. If you want to accomplish something do it on your own.
