Did your doctor check your Thyroid? it could be over active. Also, try doing some weight training exercise which will increase your muscle mass and your appetite, people will say to avoid exercise but I strongly disagree, as a personal trainer I have had many 'skinny' clients whom actually have a high body fat percentage, especially women with very little muscle. exercise is also beneficial for stress. I don't recommend eating lots of high fat junk food either as you may gain weight but your health will suffer. Did you know sumo wrestlers eat a lot of rice? stick with real food as opposed to 'protein drinks' with your body may not be able to digest properly and will add to the problem.
hope I could help :)

In my opinion, I think you should try to gain weight with diet and exercise. With the diet portion you want to keep in mind that your caloric consumption should be geared towards taking in more of what you put in than what your body exerts out. Make sure that in your diet that you keep an adequate and safe count of your proteins (lean meats, fish, turkey, beans, etcc), carbs (whole wheat and grains, fruits, veggies) and fats( yes there are good fats, olive oils, veggie oils, etcc). Be careful with eating the fatty foods also, bad fats can lead to whole slew of other health problems. Also implement a work out schedule. Lifting weights, martial arts, pilates, yoga, things that will get you moving and developing muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. When you lift weights you want to make sure you do so with the focus of strengthening and toning your muscles. Also do cardio, simply because as you gain more weight you do want your body to adapt to the excess weight that is being place on the body and it's systems.
Also ask your doctor for charts on what should your appropriate weight be for someone your height and body structure. I am 5'7 as well and have a medium frame. After looking at some charts as well as looking at a BMI charts, they showed that between 122-149 is where your weight should be. Also it wouldn't hurt to get a second opinion as well. That way you can get a better insight if something is truly wrong.
In the end I would also say this my dear that you are going to have to learn to love the body you are in. We all come in different shapes and sizes for many reasons as well. So genetically you might have the predisposition to be built a certain way.
Good luck

Try drinking boost and eating keep eating fattening foods. If you drink boost with your meals it's like eating two meals at a time. If you run around a lot and play sports take a break so you don't burn off any calories. Good luck.

Pleasse go and get your thyroid checked and also your adrenal function - sounds like it could be either/both or even diabetes - either way, go back to your GP and get some more blood tests done.
Good luck
