Adam and Eve have the respectablilty of age, not that it should convey authority it just does.The Mormon thing was just such a blatant con I find it hard to believe how anyone can follow it as a religion.

I am not knowingly Mormon at present; although I have heard from multiple sources I sound Mormon. I do not currently know what someone means about the 'underwear'.
The belief in Adam & Eve is easy. The 'Mormon' thoughts (and many Roman Catholic) may be related to the application of the '2 or more witnesses' principle (Matt.18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1) which had also been given to the Jews (about three times Deut. 10-20).
Not applying that principle leaves one often viewing God's stuff with a 1 witness (man; a false god) perspective. (I have been there)!
