only way is to be honest. tell her you know and that you'd like to know more. There should be an enourmous amount of trust between mother and daughter. It's not always easy, but I kinda went throught the same thing. Except I found out in a really bad way and was terrified because it wasn't my mother who told me. it was a father I never new i had who told me. it was a nightmare! Good luck and try to be supportive with ur mom, she might be embarrassed to tell u.

So you know about a sister that you have, that your mother has never told you about? Well, that's shocking. If you're going to confront her, you should just say, "Mom, I need to talk to you. Can we sit down? *Sit Down* I know about my sister. Why haven't you ever told me about her?" Don't ask like, angrily or anything. Just speak calmly and with maturity.

start asking her questions like about her past and just talk for a while about things that don't really pertain to the subject, then throw in the question if you have any siblings, if she says yes, then you don't have to worry about telling her that you already knew until your 50. if she says no, then softly say that you already know about your sister, and hopefully from there you can work things out. good luck.

First off.....
Why is this being kept a secret?
If your mom is trying to keep something in her past hidden? Whatever the case I think your mom should be told you know that you have a half sister.
Good Luck!!

Invite your sister over for dinner and let your mom know that she can relax because you already know that you have a sister.

Find a quiet time and ask her to talk. Present what you know and ask for answers to your questions. I am sure your Mom has expected this time to come.

Is the sister her child too? In that case you both go to her but if it is your father's child only you can ask her if she knew and then she would realise that you know.

Tell her that you have found out something wonderful, and want to talk with her about it. Let her know that you are accepting and not judging. Let her know you aren't mad that she kept this very personal secret, but that you are glad that you know and that you can talk with her about it.
