My hair is super thick.. and it used to be really oily, and I switched shampoos and now the oiliness problem os resolved but now its almost too dry, and almost sort of frizzy. What can I do.
An inexpensive and easy way to bring volume and healthiness to my hair.

Any suggestions?

I wouldn't recommend switching your shampoos again if it resolved the oil problem. Stick with that shampoo but change your conditionar habits and maybe get some extra products for after the shower. If I were you I would do this...

Shampoo as normal.

Buy a conditionar that promotes volume and smoothes your hair. I recommend Pantene Pro-V. I use it and my hair really has improved with it. Apply an ample amount of conditionar to your hair and then let it sit for a few minutes. Usually, while my conditionar is setting in my hair I shave my legs. It's a decent amount of time because standing in the shower doing nothing for 5 minutes can be annoying. haha Then rinse your hair with cool water, not hot, to close your hair shafts.

Towel dry and apply a leave in conditionar. Then I usually run my fingers through it to get out the main tangles. Though I don't promote actually brushing your hair when its wet because it stretchs and breaks a lot easier.

For overall smoothness I suggest Matrix Biolage Smoothing Serum ( http://www.matrix.com/products/biolage/smootherapie.aspx ) toward the bottom of this page. I use it and afterwards your hair is really smooth and soft.

I always let my hair air dry. But if you can't do this, or you want more volume blow dry like this:

Towel dry as much as possible. The less time under the blow dryer is definatly better. Keep your blow dryer on cool or warm, hot is not so great for your hair. Flip your head upside down and concentrate mostly on your roots. If your ends aren't completely dry, its not a big deal, they will dry on their own. Your roots are where the volume comes from.

Sometimes after blow drying I pass a veryy thin layer of gel or mousse over my top layer of hair to keep down those sticky outy hairs.

Anything else feel free to email me :)
Hope I helped!

My daughter had that problem and I bought Head and Shoulders for oily hair. It took away the oil at the base but did not leave the hair dry. Also there is Fructis shampoos and conditioners that met a variety of needs. See links below.

It would be a good idea to go to the store and look at shampoos in your price range, but read the labels and find what you are lookin for i'm sure you will find something cause every thing works different for every body!

go at least a day between washings if you aren't already.. and switch shampoos again to something designed for normal hair, not for dry or oily. conditioner is a must, but don't leave it on for more than two minutes. also, assuming you blow dry your hair, let it air dry half way before you do so. another trick i use to prevent flyaways and frizz is a cool shock of air from my blow dryer once it's dry. =)

Well there's lots of things you could try, because different things suit different hair.

It's probably a good idea to ask your hairdresser come next haircut appointment. They'll probably have something that could fix the problem temporarily, then they should be able to recommend something similar in your price range.

Good luck.

You may be using the new shampoo too often. Try not washing as often.
