Some people here seem to be answering as if this were a forum about taste. This forum is supposed to be about etiquette, and in the context of etiquette there is nothing wrong with a mohawk.

It is socially unacceptable because it does not very formal and well manered and because it looks as if you are into rock and you will not be very responsible so people do not like this type of hair cut.

Most people who have that haircut are trying to be different or rebel against society, i don't know that's just what my teacher said once so i'm taking her word for it. Personally, i have nothing against it and i just see it as one's sense of style
