Sadly, our current US President, George W. Bush has been unwilling to say he accepts evolutionary theory, and he has advocated teaching creationism along side evolution in American biology classes.

The Founders of every major branch of (real) science were young-Earth Creationists. They were looking for evidence of order and design in nature. They are responsible for every foundational Theory of Science.
