Make sure you have her birthing place ready and all supplies, other than that lots of love!

A cardboard box & plenty of newspaper is a good idea for when she's whelping because then you can just burn or dispose of the lot. Once the pups are born, get them on some Vet-bed or similar, the moisture goes through it so the pups aren't lying in the damp, it stays warm, it's easy to wash and very difficult for the dog to chew.

Lots of newspapers are best for when she's whelping because it's very messy. You just pick up the papers as they get soaked. She should be exercised to keep her in tone for easier whelping. Just let her set the pace - she'll let you know when she's had enough. Otherwise, treat her as usual.

she should have high quality food but not extra or she may have trouble passing the pups...dont give extra calcium or she may not make her own after whelping GOATS milk and honey is a good source of calcium ....

Get her fixed. If you are asking these questions on yahoo questions, you clearly don't know what you are doing in terms of breeding. Are you not aware of the pet overpopulation tragedy in this country?

Put her on puppy food (top qulity none of that pedigree junk) and allow her to do slower activity like long slow walks. When she is going into labor give her milk and honey (for extra calcium and energy)
