Gee, I see a lot of people who openly hate being parents. Their kids are in day care from birth, activities all summer and every weeknight, and shuttled from here to there on the weekends. They are spoken to derisively or ignored. I've seen kids told they ruined their parents lives. Someone who 'secretly' hates being parents must have the decency these other people lack.

I believe so. I know that my mother and father in law didn't want to be parents to their children while they were growing up. The children were constantly ignored and put into circumstances that small children should never be in. All their children were concieved on accident. My mother in law even had two abortions because she was afraid she would have another boy. I'm sure there are parents who had accident babies and wish they hadn't of. These parent's usually end up giving their children to grandma and grandpa to raise or the kids end up neglected and ignored and sometimes in state care. (like my four nephews) I can say now that my husband and his brothers are grown,z my inlaws don't mind being parents. It's all very sad. Some people should be steralized because they know they wouldn't want a child but have them anyway. I have two girls and love more than anything. Being a mom is great!

Yes, I totally believe that there are people like that out there. And you can tell who they are. People who don't play with their kids, even though they're home.. people who yell at their kids all the time.. even though they didn't really do anything bad. People who pawn their kids off on other people all the time so that they can still go out drinking every night, or partying.. those people hate being parents.

Being a step mom of three kids aged 3, 2, and 1 can be stressful. I'm with the kids all the time and sometimes I want to leave. I love these kids like my own, but kids do get on your nerves. It is natural. Do you have kids?

yes, there are. few people want to talk about it, because it causes so much guilt, luckily, my man and i are always honest with one another, and we both felt a little animosity towards our child when she was born. this is normal i found out from a counselor, and as long as you dont want to hurt your baby, youre ok. being a parent is hard, and its tough to deal with not having the same life you had before you got pregnant. our little girl is 12 mos old now, and were both soooo happy being her parents. the best thing you can do is be completely honest and talk about it so you dont let it get to the point of actually hurting your child.

Yes I do. Being a parent is hard work. It's a real JOB, but unlike other jobs if you don't like it, it's too bad. Thoes people need a lot of support. I hope they get it.
