Seriously. I cringe every time I am about to crack open an egg because I'm afraid of getting one. Then I see this 4-yolker and almost lose my lunch:

Grew up in the country and saw both double yolk eggs and had some with blood in them. What is scarier is getting eggs out from under a hen who does not want to give them up. Good thing chickens do not have lethal defense mechanisms. A mad mother hen could kill millions.

i am. it's like twins. i opened one when i was pregnant & there was 2 yolks in it. my mom told me it meant i was to have twins, & i did have twins...a month later i found out they had no heartbeat...i still blame the egg.

They are perfectly natural. In duck eggs it is VERY common, much more than in chickens.
