i am a 25 year old marring a 47 year old this June....so no i dont think there is anything wrong with.....the only thing you might face is health problems with him sooner. and you might have trouble getting pregnant. older man have lower sperm counts, but if you are both in excellent health and love each other.....go for it and the people around you will support you.

Well, for one, your children will have a heightened chance of having issues with asbergers & autism & other related conditions.

I think the stats say 4 in 1 or something... I'm sure a little research won't hurt on that front.

Otherwise, you'll have just the same problems that everyone else typically appreciates.

I'm 22, I know i'm good enough mentally & morally and well placed otherwise to marry so I don't think your age is a problem.

His age is something to get used to. The pros are that you're more likely to lead the kind of life that you'd want to. Presumably at 43 he's sorted on one front or another... if not, you have to think about mortgage, because he's going to retire before you.

Kids is another issue, by the time the kids will be of an age to really appreciate him he'll be a little past his hey day. When they're twenty and (hopefully) asking for Univesity fees and all that he'll be much closer to his seventies than you...

Again the stats say that most men die between the ages of 55 and 65. He's really got to look after himself. Excercise & eating-wise So have you.

If you're not thinking of kids right now, how long will you wait? Are you sure you won't want them for ever?

So... the problem I can think of from here is values. People at those ages tend to have slightly different priorities and values but you should feel at least compatible if you're thinking of marriage. I know I think a lot more like a 35 - 40 y/o than a typical guy in his twenties.

The up side of it is that he'll be mature, hopefully well balanced and easy going.

Nobody's perfect, no relationship is either. Sure there'll be issues, some related to age, most perhaps won't be. it's all part of the natural process...

All the best

Yes you will face many problems, I know this is kind of morbid but when your reaching your prime he will most likely be having health problems. Think about it, when he is 60 you will be 38, if you have kids together this could pose a bigger problem, the way a 23 year old person raises their child is way different then a 41 year old person would. I am not saying it won't work but you have to think about everything before you get married... And I mean everything!!!

Good luck and I hope you stay happy!

Of course..nothing illegal.

However, compared to a 41 yr old, a 23 yr old girl is a child. She has yet to really get into the world and experience it, while he's had a chance to almost have a child her age. They are at different points in life. He's ready to settle, she is just spreading her wings. She may resent him in a few years for 'clipping' those wings.

Of course when he's 75 and needing his diapers changed, she's right there for him....

Sure you can! It is very common for women to marry men who are much older than them because of the maturity gap. No worries for you though, he's got you beat by 15+ years! It's fun to be with a guy who is that much older than you because, they know what are doing. Not just sexually but financially, emotionally, and they have a knack of understanding you better. The only thing I would worry about is him making you feel like a little kid (even though they are more mature, older men tend to look at younger women as still developing). That's the only thing I would be on the look for. Otherwise, good luck!

No matter what the ages are you will probably have problems in your life. The age difference can be a problem if you let it be. Many couples with big age differences have a very happy life together. It is really up to the people on whether they love each other totally and want to be together.

Any relationship no matter the age difference has problems. If two people want to be together and have found something special then why would anyone want to give that up for what other's think? Could be worse the man could be 60.....go for it and have fun....

I wouldn't in a million years.

I am 37 and only consider down to 29 or 30.

Do you want a good relationship?

Then find someone closer to your age.

One problem you could face is *friends* not of the same age etc.
Health care bills in 10 years when your wanting a dream home?

I don't think so honey. :)

Can and should....and I'll tell you why... Women mature faster than most guys. This guy will be so happy that he has a 23 year old who cares (I hope) about him that he'll do everything he can to keep her happy. On the other hand, if she's a gold diggin', sugar daddy playing skank hoe, she may end up in an early grave if she gets caught messing up. Get my drift?

Sure, things can be good for a while.

But keep in mind, when you're 41, you'll be hitting your sexual prime, and married to a 59 year old guy with prostate probs.

..

I posted this because I know not one, but two couples in similar situations. Now she's raring to go, and he's an old guy.
