I'm happy to say that I have picked up a few traditions/habits from my Dad who passed away 3 years ago. He always made sure we had a good Christmas; he always made sure to feed the wild birds in the wintertime and pre-warms his coffee mug before pouring coffee in it.... A bit quirky, but I like it. How about you?

Yup, we have family habits too. For 4 generations now we all put our right shoe on first for luck...even my 4 year old granddaughter does it! And we always tell each other to "drive safely" and have that person call when they get home to make sure they got there safely. We have a certain way to fold towels, always use black ink-not blue-pens, and always say "bless you" when someone sneezes...whether it's each other, a stranger, or the dog! Family quirks are great, aren't they?

my mom always made sure we had lots of food in the house and always kept everything clean. I always make sure i have lots of food at my place so that if it snows i don't need to leave to get food and i won't go hungry. I keep my place moderately clean but not as clean as she keeps her place.

I have lots of practices copied from my dad. One of my favorites is to return a borrowed item in better condition (cleaner) than when I got it.
