What is the best way of starting a petition to stop the daylight robbery of every hard working person on this uncalled tax that just pays the gready staff that work in the BBC. We should all stand up to this unjust tax, so help me out with some iders.

Why is this tax unjust? It is optional. I choose not to pay it, you can too.

We have a sophisticated income tax system designed to ensure that basic contributions are affordable. (You may argue about the actual allowances and levels of tax but the principle is sound)

But a great chunk of the revenue raised is from taxes levied on spending in various forms. These are, by and large, optional as you can always choose to arrange your life so that the tax paid is reduced. The funding of the BBC is one such tax. It is levied on an optional activity, namely watching television.

So, when you are formulating your petition, think how you would want the situation to change. Would you abolish the BBC altogether and lose a valuable national resource? Would you prefer to increase the rate of income tax to cover the cost? Or perhaps you would like to tax something unrelated, such as putting VAT on food or children's clothing for this.

Sorry if you think I'm being unfair but your question comes over as a rant. Tell me what your alternative proposal is and I might take you seriously.

For a start you could set up a web page asking people to register
who are against the paying of what is basically a stealth tax which as you point out is spent on under worked, overpaid staff.Who knows, people power got rid of the poll Tax.

What we need is a national consumers association. They would advise members to withold payment of licence fee, do not use a certain supermarket or garage chain for a week etc. Then we could expect to see changes in how we are treated and charged.
Sadly there is no such organisation and I fear people are too self centered nowadays to do it. So we must carry on paying, shame though it is.

you'll nonetheless could pay for a licence once you've a television, inspite of how you take advantage of it, so i imagine the in consumer-friendly words way is to eliminate the television altogether. they extremely inspect this stuff, so do not trouble attempting to flee with it. you are able to watch DVD's on your laptop, once you've a DVD rigidity, or purchase one to connect and regulate over to taking section in computer video games. I also considered this. they did not make it sparkling on the web content in case you necessary a licence to receive from the web. i'm guessing this become planned and that you're allowed to.

well you could start a petition, but i would advise against not paying it, it is a criminal (not civil) charge to not pay it and goes on your record.
