I won a raffle and part of the item was a ceramic flower pot. It is a very good quality flower pot, and just the size I could use. But it is an ugly color. How and with what paint can you paint over a glazed ceramic pot? Would like to put it outside and dont want the paint chipping off.

If it's been glazed already, you'll never get paint to stick to it forever. Get some paint thinner or stripper and strip everything off of it. Then paint it however you want to paint it. Acrylic paint is best. You can find it at craft stores or at Wal-Mart. After it's been painted, you'll need to clear coat/gloss the entire thing REALLY well. If you don't get the entire pot covered with a sealer of some kind, moisture can get undernearth your paint/gloss and cause the pot to chip/peel.

apply a glaze thinner, then put the primer on, and then the color of your choice.
