They say if you run a certain amount or get a lot of exercise that you could eat whatever you want. But that's to maintain. If you run or get good exercise and eat moderately (as opposed to indulgently) then you will see a difference in no time.
I'm not sure if walking is enough. Basically in order to burn a substantial amount of calories and fat, you need to keep your heartrate up for a good duration of time. They say 30 min of this kind of exercise every day or at least 4 times a week, will help you shed the pounds, when accompanied with a healthy diet.
So if walking is getting your heartrate up and getting you to sweat, keep at it and maybe you could work up to something a little more intense.
I really need to do this too. Have you considered a gym? I'm trying to find a good one myself. Try swimming also, if you can. Easy on the joints, gets the heart pumping, works a lot of muscles.
Good luck darlin! ♥

If you are getting hungry more often, that is good, it is showing a sign of high metabolism. You want to stick with your plan, and make sure you eat the right foods to fill that hunger. Don't starve yourself to lose those few last pounds. If you are losing your weight properly, like exercise and right nutrition, you will loose 1-2 pounds a week. So this will be 10-20 weeks for you. It may seem like a long time, but stick with it. If you lose more than 2-3 pounds a week, you aren't losing your weight properly, and you will only gain more weight later on. To burn more fat and lose those pounds, try weight training. Lift light weights with several reps. More muscle will burn more fat. You will probably weigh more at first, but within the 2nd to 3rd week, you will shed those pounds quickly. Also, I wouldn't stick with the general 2-3 miles, try to do cardio of 30 mins a day (remember to stick to your target heart rate). Running speeds up your metabolic rate. Good luck!

No, that does not mean your metabolism is high, it could mean that you are actually thirsty. the body gives off the same signals when it thirsty as it does when it is hungry. so since you just started an exercise routine, you body is probably telling you that you need to hydrate. Everyone loses weight at different rates there is not a way to figure out how much you how fast you will lose your weight

you are hungry because you don't eat that much now since you are trying to lose weight and if you want to lose alot of weight try running since it will help you burn more fat then walking plus eat small meals every day no candy or pop since it is full of Calories that you don't need but if you miss them too much have one day that you can have those things but this will only make this 20 pounds take longer I would say it may take you 6 weeks to lose 20 pounds but I don't know your body so check your weight every moring to see if are losing weight if not more work out and less calories or both but good luck with that once you lose some weight you will feel alot better about yourself

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").
The Hoodia sold at http://tinyurl.com/y389on is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $7.99 shipping and handling charge, but they also give you free recipe and diet guides). Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

Good FOR YOU!
This means your metabolism is boosted and the muscles you have developed from walking everyday are burning the calories you put in! I'm an active person, too. I just ate 3/4 of a burrito and I'm hungry again!
Keep it up girl!!

that means you are burning more calories and your body wanting more calories. If you keep your calories down and eat lots of fiber, you should lose 2 pounds a week, so for 20 pounds that would be 10 weeks. (that is assuming you are burning 500 extra calories every day and cutting down on 500 calories for a total of 1000 calories a day)

Your body is burning calories and moisture.
After your long walk, drink a huge glass of cold water and eat some veggies.
You are going to achieve your goal in no time. Good luck and congratulations.

The Six Hidden Dangers in Walking for Weight Loss
If you are able to, stop walking, and start 'intervaling'
Walking will keep your heart rate relatively low. Walking will train your body to burn calories more efficiently (this is bad). Walking will not raise your metabolism to the level that is should be at the burn more fat and process food at faster rates. Walking will not help you build any muscle. Walking will take along time to see end results. Walking will program your body to gain more weight in the future.
Intervals will raise your heart rate. Intervals will raise your metabolism for up to 48 hours after the interval workout. Intervals will teach your body to burn more calories per day, per hour, even per minute of being awake or while sleeping. Intervals will also deliver greater results much, much faster.
What are cardio intervals and who are they for?
Cardio intervals can be described as a form of mixed speeds of cardio. Instead of staying at one speed throughout the workout, you will start off with a slow speed to warm up. Progress to a FAST speed for up to 2 minutes followed by another slow speed for twice the amount of time as the FAST speed. You will repeat this for up to 30 minutes of total workout time.
Cardio intervals are virtually designed to enhance the overall performance of anyone who does them. For the most part, they can be done by everyone. The main people that won't be able to handle intervals will be elderly, sick, injured, people who suffer from poor knees, ankles, hips, back injuries, etc.
Simply implement the defined strategy above and watch your fat come running off of your body, literally.
