My bf and I spend about $5 a month on food. We never eat fast food. We live in farm country and grow almost everything we eat. We have eggs, chickens, turkeys, pigs (ham, bacon, pork), dairy cows, beef cows, goats, lambs, sheep, fruits, herbs & vegetables.

Being single, and taking most of my meals at work, I try not to spend more then $35 a week. In reality, however, I can go weeks without buying anything, cleaning out my cubboards, and periods where I buy $80 of groceries because I made the mistake of washing dishes. Dirty dishes means no cooking...clean dishes means I must cook to dirty them...it is a viscious cycle, so I leave them dirty to save on my food bill. And not because I am lazy.

About $400 a month for a household of two including eating out. This also depends a bit on the season and if we have guests.

I eat very healthy and I do eat out often.
That said, I spend $300-$400 per month for me alone.
I spend another $200-$300 on Supplements and Vitamins monthly also.
