There's your ticket right there. Simply approach the person and say " I'm sorry but this particular client complained that you have an odor. You might want to change your deodorant or soap brand."

I am often guilty of this.. I rush around in the morning trying to get ready for work.. And I run out of time.. I hadn't gotten my teeth brushed or deodorant on. So at work they provide us lockers. And I keep a tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, body spray, etc. in my locker at all times. Do you provide a place where your employee can keep personal hygiene products under discretion?

But he needs to be talked to as well.. When you sit him down to talk to him. Do it discreetly as possible. Have numbers on his performance, show him he is a good performer. And that it is nothing about the job in itself. He may not even realize.

well, get a good strong nice smelling aftershave. Introduce it too him adn say how much you like it and then let him smell it, trry it out on him and say how much you think it suits him and give him the bottle and say that you think he ought to use this as it goes with his personality great. If that doesn't work then jus be honest, if he's a loyal employee he should understand but don't be all business like be more friendly and act as though you're best mates when you break the news to him.

I would say, "we are really happy with your work here, and you are a great asset to the way our (company?) works. But there is one issue. We have gotten some complaints about your personal hygeine. More specifically your odor. We hope you have no hard feelings, but this is a small issue which we hope you adress in the very near future."

You need to adress the man in a professional and business-like manner. If the man is mature, he will take your advice and everyone can move on with their work.

Good Luck!

Sometime send him a "Reward Gift Basket" full of personal hygeine products and a few other litlle things that he might really like. Then you can tell him you appreciate what an excellent employee he is and you wanted to show your appreciation by giving him a Gift Basket.

I would council him in private and explain to him that the client complained. I would inform him that you cannot have this type of negative remarks from clients as it would hurt the business and request that he take steps to improve his personal hygiene. If he fails to do so, explain to him that you will be forced to remove him from his position and possibly placed in another or may have to let him go. Its not too much to ask and if done respectfully, it doesnt have to be embarrassing to the person involved.

Anonymously slip a stick of deodorant with a bow on top either in his coat pocket or briefcase at the end of the day before he goes home.

So each time human beings flush it freshens the bathroom. even have Renuzit on your table. i could seek advice from HR branch or your boss approximately chatting with him approximately this. One client complained.
How important is your employee compared to that one client?
