There is greater probabilty for a tornado to through a junk yard and form a seven forty seven jet than there is for the big bang to occur. Why not believe in intellegent design?

I think you're smart :-)

If you ever get a chance, read "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey. In this book they show mathematical codes in the bible that are incredible and could never have been created by humans or computers. Peace :-)

I don't quite get the tornado/junkyard thing since tornadoes have destroyed junkyards before. You're not stupid for believing in intelligent design I just think it makes more sense to be more open to the possibility that it may be completely wrong. Historical evidence for Jesus usually goes back to the Bible which is only 'proven' to be the word of God by the men who wrote down the words of the Bible. Feel free to believe the men who claim they are quoting God but I feel more comfortable knowing that not all men tell the truth. It's easier for me to believe slight scientific evidence because any 'true' science can be backed up. I don't believe science can ever prove anything about God but I don't feel that word of mouth or a book can either.

You still do need to have faith in scientists to believe they aren't all lying when they produce 'scientific evidence' for something. But I know I am free to become a scientist if I want to double check their theories. But I cannot travel back in time to see if Jesus really existed, so I'm left with having to trust the word of man about that one. That's a little shakier to me.

I like hearing from people who believe that the Big Bang was possibly what we call 'intelligent design' somehow and that it's possible we all have it wrong. I think we are all 'stupid' when it comes to trying to explain something we can't really understand.

1) What does the Big Bang have to do with Intelligent Design?

2) ID doesn't hold up. If life on earth was designed, why has so much of it gone extinct? Why are there useless body parts in many animals, including humans? Why do we have things like junk DNA and flightless birds? Look at the Dodo -- what kind of design is that?

3) Sure, Christ probably had a good message, but how in the world do you get from there to automatically assuming he was the son of God? Many other people throughout history have claimed such things -- why not believe them instead?

I'll just have to take it on faith that you are stupid.

However, can you explain your methodology for determining the relative probabilities of tornado junk 747's vs. big bangs? I'd like to see your notes.

Why not intelligent design? There's no evidence for it.

Why not believe he's the son of god? There's no evidence that god exists, and no evidence Jesus was the son even if god did exist.

I cannot say wether you are stupid or not. From what you say it looks like you are delusional to some degree.

I am not sure your mathematics skills are conclusive.

Intelligent design is a superstition issued from ancient middle eastern tales and legends.

Jesus was the biological son of Mary and Gabriel.
God is the central character of the tales and legends mentioned above.

To believe on Christ means you have to face the absolute truth about who and what you are. I think that is a hard reality for many people.

Woohoo, you answered your own question. Glaring ignorance in scientific education, critical thinking skills and logic.

There is evidence of a "MAN" who preached what you claim, yes, but there's no evidence he was a son of some creator god who can be logically refuted.

Jesus Christ may have existed, that doesn't mean that he was the son of god. Intelligent design is the biggest load of crap ever.

Why? Because when you spend all your time filling in the gaps in your own understanding of the universe with god, you never take the time to find out what the actual truth is. That's why.
