she just gets too much sometimes, she claws at my drapes, tearing them down. knocks everything off my nightstand, claws at my clothes. sits and meows all night. ive tried wearing her out by playing before bedtime, but she's still so hyperactive, running up and down the hall knocking her food and water bowl over. i really hate getting cross at her, but need to show her some discipline. how can i do this? i'd be really grateful for some tips

Cats are insane. lol There's not much you can do to stop it, unless you want to lock her in a cage all night and you don't sound like the kind of person who would do that thankfully. You can try making a sudden loud noise to frighten her or spray her a bit with water, or a stern voice saying "baaaad kitty" but that is only a deterrent. She's an animal not a human, she doesn't understand that you don't want your curtains destroyed or that you have to get up in the morning and need your sleep. She just wants to play. Another cat to keep her company might be helpful but be warned, it can go both ways I swear my cats tag team me! Good luck.

is she in heat? sometimes that makes the wild to want to get outside.
have you tried walking her on a leash? outside? seems that she just needs more exercise.
plus, you could have a jar with pennies in it (a noise maker to shake when she is doing bad things), or even a spray bottle. however, i find that that only helps when you are watching... cats know when to do things! (when you turn your back).
keep in mind she WILL grow up...one day you'll miss all this play time! my cats don't do much anymore but lay around! good luck!

She's a kitten so her behavior is not unusual....be understanding in this regard. Get a kitty kennel. When she does something bad lift her up, bring her to the area, say "BAD!" and bring her to the kennal. Leave her there for 5 min. Then let her out. Eventually she will get the idea.

on account that Gizmo likes to devour, you may try in consumer-friendly words feeding him at particular cases in the course of the day. i comprehend this can suck for him before everything, yet finally it would want to help you. change him to a accurate high quality indoor cat food. i might want to also perchance purchase him some grass to munch on (it helps cats digest and they choose some eco-friendly of their food routine on account that they don't get any in dry food.) take care of him to portion of a can once a week or some healthful treats (like temptations.) this way he's conventional with you're literally not attempting to starve him. i imagine as long as he does no longer go over the 30 lb mark, he could be ok. also, have him regarded at on the vet. they could have a answer as to the thanks to get him to sit down up even as ingesting. desire Gizmo drops some pounds quickly! good success!

beat it with a stick.
boil it.
it these methods don't seem to do the trick, a waterbottle squirted at her when she misbehaves should slow her roll a little. No, really. We had a psycho cat that went into hysterics at dinner and we'd just squirt her with a little water gun. It wont hurt her or anything, and, if it doesnt stop her completely from her reign of terror, it will at least slow her down enough to clean herself and give you time to pick up a little and prepare for round two.

spray bottles with water or lemon water. Unless the cat is like my sisters it should work wonderfully. if it is like my sister's however it will try to drink that water or run through it and play in the mist.

Get a spray bottle and spray her when she is being bad, and be consistent. Only spray when she is being bad and eventually she will get the point.
