My cat vomits most mornings between 630am and 8am, before she has eaten. She is otherwise healthy, and has a sleek coat, bright eyes and a good appetite. Though she is elderly at about 12 years. Her diet is sachets of cat food (I do vary the brand), and she wont eat buiscuits.
I would appreciate any advice you could give.

I have taken her to the vet about 6 months ago about it. The vet it could be a heart problem, and did a chest x-ray which was normal. I hope you can give me more advice.

Take the cat to the vet as soon as possible. One of my former cats (19) over time got bad kidneys, and was always sick if she had even a little bit of milk. Could be a number of things, I'm not a vet or anything but if that was you being sick you would go see a doctor to seek proper help and advice. Do so, or you may reget it. Best of luck

Take her to the vet to get checked, esp. bloodwork, it might nicely be a kidney project or the start of diabetes. it truly is the way my cat all began...12 yrs is getting elderly for a cat, maximum cats stay between 12-15 yrs. you are able to favor to grant her a particular food for "geriatric" (it really is, previous) cats, gentler on her digestion. Royal Canin makes a very good type of cat food and has a particular one for older and neutered cats. they actually have an options hotline it really is v. helpful and pleasant. best of success!

changing the brand can make them sick.
changing form gravy to jelly or vise verse.
our vet said you must keep to the same brand.
leaving left over food on your plate and the cat eating that can make them sick.
cats stomachs are very sensitive and you must stick to the same food .
i.e whiskers in jelly.
do not give cats milk its a fact only water

Cat's can vomit on purpose, maybe that's when she needs some attention, on the other hand vomiting more than once a week is supposed to be a bad sign, so, call the vet.

Probably hairballs. Cats are natures anorexics, mine is 12 as well and she throws up at least twice a week. You should ask your vet about it just to be on the safe side but they do vomit a lot. (compared to dogs)

My first guess would be a hairball issue. The timing would be about right. Mabye try one of those anti-hairball gels you put on her paw at night before you go to bed. That should help! You see, she's probably doing her middle of the night self-bath after you go to sleep, and building up a hairball that's making her vomit. Hope that helps!

it sounds like fur balls. there is a tube of stuff you can get from the pet shop for this as my cat who's 13 sometimes gets it. if you are worried though i would see the vet to reassure you with the cat being elderly.

I don't know for sure, but i know that changing the brand of cat food for a cat does upset their stomach.

I would vomit everyday too if I woke up and found out I was a cat. Each day would be a disappointment, and I'd barf out my guts. Wishing upon wish that tomorrow I wake a dog.
