I love someone. There are a million reasons my mind tells me not to be with him, however my heart tells me to be with him. What should I do, follow my mind or heart?

We've been dating a year, known each other for about 5 or 6. I got a ring from him for Christmas and a week later, he leaves me and says he doesn't think his heart is in it all the way like it was. Now he realizes he made a mistake and wants me back in his life forever. My heart says I love him and want him, my mind says he'll just hurt me again. Should I follow my heart and be with him, or go with my mind?

You better be absolutely sure that you are distinguishing the difference between your mind and your heart correctly. A million reasons in your mind for not being with him should probably pretty much be a red flag. You sound like an intelligent person and if you are, a million reasons should be a sufficient number in helping you make the decision.

Well, is the juice worth the squeeze?
if there are a million reasons why your mind is telling you to walk away...that's what you need to do.
How many reasons is your heart giving you?
It's human nature to want to struggle...that's why we want the losers and walk away from great people.
Really think about it. If you have valid reason to leave than you will be fine. Pain is temporary.

um.... toughy! you shouldn't have to chose between your mind and heart, you will find a guy that doesn't make you go crazy like this cuz your heart and mind will agree.
what are some of the reasons your mind is telling you not to be with him?? just because you love him doesn't mean you should be with him. love sucks and it's hard to get over but if your mind has millions of reasons not to be with him, then don't be with him.

That would depend on the reasons your mind is coming up with. If it is because of a job or another extraneous reason, then your mind is losing that battle. But if your mind is saying to stay away from him because of the way you are being treated or because he isn't a good man, then you should look deeply into yourself to find if your heart wants him for love or lust.

If you could provide some of the reason why your mind tells you know and your heart tells you yes, it would be a big help.

Your heart will get you into trouble, but it will be worthwhile. You may never find a guy that both your heart and head agree on. So, just take a chance. Life is not predictable. But I can tell you one thing -- never lose a moment of love. If you do, it will never come back and you will ALWAYS regret it.

Most people would tell you to follow your heart but I think you really need to follow both.
If a man treats you like a dog and abuses you, would you stay with him just because you love him? The answer should be NO.
It really depends what your mind is telling you.

it actually depends on the reasons that tell you not to be with him.
listen to your mind and think that would you be able to be happy with that guy even after all the reasons that tell you not to go with that guy...if yes than listen to your heart and if no then listen to your mind...because if you are not happy then the people around you specially that guy will also not be happy....and you dont want the guy whom you love to be undappy and sad, do you!
