If you don't feel hungry within the first half hour or even hour, then don't eat! Listen to your body. When you do finally feel hungry, though, eat a small breakfast, and continue eating small meals throughout the day (4-6 meals). That way, it's not like your eating twice the amount you should be eating at lunch because you missed breakfast. You can still control how much you eat even if you start later in the day.

There's no fixed rule, except for people who feel uncomfortable without fixed rules.
Breakfast can be a type of meal, or one that's eaten early in the day. It's not compulsory to eat as soon as you get up, and different systems are suitable for different people.
Some Ayurvedic systems assume that you will get up around 6 am (sleep is more effective if it starts well before midnight), and eat breakfast at about 9. They also teach that this is the most important meal, not only in the nutritional sense, but also in terms of your state of mind when you eat it.
In some teachings, it is implied that it is BECAUSE you are in a different state of mind at different hours of the day, that breakfasting is so good for you. You will be in the best mood for extracting nutrition when you have recently done a lot of sleeping, and perhaps some relaxing (rather than frantic) exercises.

I don t eat breakfast either and never get hungry till I ve been up for about an hour. It does nt really matter to me I just eat when I am hungry and its fine. You have to work out what is best for you. Not everyone s body works the same way.

I heard you should eat 15 minutes after you awaken, but I cannot eat until about 2 hours after waking up. I think it depends on how your day is set up. If you have time to eat 2 hours after, then it is okay but if you have to be at work all day then you won't have time to wait until you are hungry to eat.
when i was in high school, i had a little snack (like 4 zesta crackers) after i woke up and then i would be hungry at lunch. so i would eat lunch, finish school, go home and eat lunch again, and then eat dinner that night. i think as long as you get 3 meals a day in, you are fine.

Depends what time you wake up. If you get up at 7 then you should have breakfast by 10:00 .If you are already in school by that time then bring a breakfast bar with you to snack on , that way you are not really skiping breakfast..

Breakfast just means, breaking the fast.
The common usage is in the morning you have breakfast, lunch in the afternoon, and supper in the eve.
But in reality, breakfast is the first meal of the day, regardless when you eat it.

I don't know. I still don't eat breakfast. I'm just not hungry and I'm not going to eat when I'm not hungry. I seem to get along just fine without it.
