I met one of my best friends through the Internet. She lived in the state that I'm from and my family lives. I invited her to my family reunion one year and she came. We met in person and have corresponded over the Internet, by phone, and through the mail for the past five years.

I've met several people I met online - most of them from dating sites. I'm sort of friends with a couple of them and a number of them did not go past the first meeting. Dating is a numbers game - in order to meet the right one you need to be willing to take a few chances. However, it is ALWAYS best to meet in a public place for the first time and never give out a home address until you've gotten to know them.

If you are a girl don't go. If you go there is danger with all kinds of things. If you must go take some friends with you and make sure they don't ditch you if the going gets tough. If you are a guy meeting a girl be prepared to meet someone different from what was typed. Reading and actually meeting are extremely different. You might not even click with that person after you meet them in person.
I never did that because I rather meet people the usual way. I like to look into people's eyes to see how true they are. This in one of my special abilities.

Yes, I have some "war stories" to tell. I like the woman that put a pic of herself from 5 years ago and then failing to tell you that she gained 80 pounds in that span. Then the one without a picture who described herself as an average woman. She looked like Shamu's sister too me. I guess she was average for the big heifer she was. I had one women that loved the sound of my voice and wanted to meet me. She told me she had a new boat, car, and good job. But one of the other women told me that she was the "Mother of all Shamus", so I never met her. First time in my life, I could have gotten a sugar momma (LOL) but too big for me. I want a woman I can kiss and stick at the same time. See saw sex for me is a no no. Tip - tell the woman to either have coffee of lunch. That way if one does not like the other they only have to suffer for an hour. But tell her this ahead of time. If there is chemistry, you can also go for seconds.

⥠I haven't because I am really scared of even trying that but my friend did. She met this guy online and she thought he was sweet, understanding, caring, loving, and all that stuff. basically the guy of her dreams. When she saw him he was a lot older then what he said he was and he wasn't anything that he described himself to be and she had a gut feeling to get out of there. Let's just say that she got out of there as quick as she could. Now she know's better not to meet anyone online because you never know.

I know several and most did not work out but some did marry. You just never know. main thing is to be careful and stay safe. Meet them in a public place and get to know them better before you go anywhere with them.

Yes I have, just make sure you trust the situation. If in doubt, don't. Mine turned into a great friendship. Try not to have too high of expectations! Hope for the best... expect the worst:)

I met my ex over the net. We met in person and have been on and off for about a year. It's strange to think that he was just a URL hahaha
I'm in love with him and am praying he and I work out.

Yes, I met my current husband on line. We lived 1500 miles apart,he drove up to see me, then I came down and visited with him for a month. We ended up getting married a year later.

yes, i have on yahoo personals and i am still with him after almost 4 years together and we have a 11 month old son together.(i also have a 8 yr old daughter)...I talked to him through internet and phone for almost 7 months before i actually met him...He kept pushing me to meet him sooner but i was too scared and finally, i said hell, he waited for me this long...he must be allright...lol
