it would be worth it.? Im 125 pounds and I am 5'6. Im pretty skinny everyhere else, but i have a tummy, I find it disgusting. I alost considered lipo on it because all the working out i do stiill doesnt have it flatten out! I thought maybe its good to go to a trainer first and see what she says before i resort to lipoying my stomach. I even have love handles. I dont know what to do, I have a free apt on friday but i dont want to get suckered in. Is it that hard to lose weight there. My whole family is skinny and gains weight in their stomach. So im scared ill have to dieting my whole life to keep a trim tummy. Im really serious about the lipo. Its 2k with a family member who does it. Suggestions? Opinions? ohhh and i am 26!

Hire the personal trainer first. You will be in so much more pain if you go the lypo way.

4. "Our trainers don't know what they're doing."
If you work out at a gym, chances are an on-site personal trainer will try to sell you his or her expertise. And with their Colgate smiles and buff bodies, they must be able to teach you a thing or two about getting into shape, right? Not necessarily. Trainers need no standard certification, and the credentials some flash require only a quick online course or a fee, says Neal Pire, a fitness-industry consultant and former trainer.

Jonathan Jacobson, a marketing exec with a degenerative disk disease in his lower back, sought out a trainer to design a routine appropriate for his condition. But after following a boxing regimen the trainer recommended, he was left in pain. When his doctor told Jacobson, 35, to stop, the trainer suggested Pilates — which only further aggravated the problem, ending in a slew of medical procedures. "He had certificates and tons of plaques on the wall," Jacobson says. "It's taken about a year to not be in pain every day."

Seek trainers with credentials from respected institutions like the American College of Sports Medicine or the National Strength Conditioning Association — preferably with some training in sports medicine or phys ed.

Your body chooses where you will lose the fat. You can't spot reduce fat by working that certain muscle group, you can only tone the muscles below that fat to have a nice surface and structure for when the fat is gone. Lipo only works for people like you who have only one area of fat that needs restructuring, while you have a trim body everywhere else. My suggestion, if you're planning on having kids...or anymore kids if you already have them...WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE DONE. You'll just be throwing your money away. Until then, keep working out!...as your body ages you may discover that the areas where you burn fat can change too.
