AWESOME sleeper car! The GN was rated the FASTEST car in the world from 50-75 MPH, even against the then highly touted Testerossa. My cousin had one, and at full rolling 60mph, you could nail it, watch the two turbo indicator lights light up, and lay down 2 streaks of rubber on the highway! And you'd better have your head braced when it kicked in!
Another car to look for if you like this kind of power is the limited edition 20th Anniversary 89 Turbo Trans Am. Same turbo-charged, intercooled 3.8L V-6. Low 13 second car straight from the factory. That was unheard of at that time, especially from a V-6.
Wow, this question reminds me I need one of these cars! LOL

You're thinking of the 1982-1985 Buick Regal Gran National and 1986-1987 Buick Regal GNX (Gran National Xperimental). It's Buick's big musclecar of the 1980s, can only be had as a black, V-8-powered, Rear-Wheel Drive coupe and in extremely limited numbers. You would have to pay at least $15,000-$20,000 for a well-cared for model today, and much more for one in showroom condition. The Buick Regal Gran National and Regal GNX are based off of the same era Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, Oldsmobile Cutlass 4-4-2 T-Top, and Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Aerodeck.
