Thanks - I need them for my daughter who is going to use them to 'build' with fruit, so they won't be going near fire.

Wooden kebab skewers are sold in just about every food market, especially since the rise in popularity of ethnic foods. They usually come in 2 sizes, and are generally inexpensive. Should be able to find them anywhere from the corner market to Macy's Dept. Store. I suggest soaking them in water for 15-30 min. prior to putting them on the grill, they tend to burn more slowly this way. I also add a little liquid smoke or other seasonings to the water for more taste. If used for fruit kebabs, try soaking them in pineapple or orange juice first, and even add a drop of food coloring. Kids love it!

Any supermarket/grocery store should have them.

Soak them in water for about 20 minutes before you use them. It'll keep them from burning up on the grill.

I use the bamboo sticks (wooden tend to burn too quickly) -- anyway any large grocery store or whole food store. Any cooking store and any oriental grocery store.
