I had a tea party for my birthday when I was young. You might want to see if there is a tea house in your area. Or maybe do a little "dress up" day where you dress her up in fancy clothes and do her hair and make-up and make her feel like a princess then take her to lunch.
I'm sure whatever you do, your child will look back on it as a day of happiness.

Depending on where you live - look for a place that does Tea Parties - the little girls get to dress up in boa's, hats and cutie little slippers and have a party with scones and tea - we have several in Texas but it seems like it's such a good idea I imagine there are other states/cities that do them. If you don't have any luck looking them up as Tea Parties, call a specialty novelty childrens store and ask them.....sometimes they put on their own parties certain days of the week!! Good luck!

When I was four years old, I had a birthday party with my friends at McDonalds.... with the playground, party games and cake, it's a really fun place to spend your birthday and you even get a free present from them like a teddy bear or something!

Have you tried Build-a-Bear workshop or American Girl. They are both good places to take a 4 year old. Check out their websites. www.buildabear.com and www.americangirl.com. She'll have a blast

My sister took her son to the firehouse. She said the firemen were great and let them do all kinds of things, and gave them all hats. Sounds fun to me. Good luck!
