Well it's not Jesus teachings like the others said, it is Pauline doctrine through the perception of carnally minded individuals. The Founder of modern day Christianity is Paul milk doctrine. Paul called it milk for babies to organic in mind to receive greater things. So he taught Jesus Christ and him crucified only, but with Jesus was the message and it wasn't about him, it was about the lifestyle and mindset necessary to draw upon the true teacher within you and learn, and in eventuality know thy self so you could know your relationship with God The other side of Jesus teachings was those of kindness and brotherly loved, but this was taught openly, while the mysteries were only told to the disciples that reached the capacity to receive them.

Under the heading of Jesus and Paul, the Encyclopedia Britannica writes: “In calling Paulinism 'Christocentric', one raises the question as to its relation to the Gospel proclaimed by Jesus... how far he unconsciously modified the Gospel by making Christ its subject matter rather than its revealer.... Paul... put all into so fresh a perspective as to change the relative emphasis on points central to the teaching of Jesus, and so alter its spirit. A school of writers, by no means unappreciative of Paul as they understand him, of whom W. Wrede may be taken as example, answer that Paul so changed Christianity as to become its 'second founder' - the real founder of ecclesiastical Christianity as distinct from the Christianity of Jesus. They say, 'either Jesus or Paul' it cannot be both at once’”.

The teachings of JC are written by others. We do not know what the actual teaching were, but let's say those who wrote them down did so in an unbiased manner and wrote the absolute truth. The problem is not the teachings of JC, but the way they are twisted and even ignored by the followers of that religon. JC would not be pleased, I fear, with what so many people do in the name of JC...and what they don't do as well.

I agree that those are all good teachings. Unfortunately, I don't know for sure whether they are truly the teachings of Jesus or instead the teachings of people who wanted to view him as wise or divine and therefore attributed to him the wisest teachings they could think of.

Yes. No accountability. Jesus died for your sins -- you get a free ride! Without justice, there can never be peace. You may receive a sort of peace from his forgiveness, but it does little to make amends and towards making this world a better place for others. Very selfish!

Nothing wrong with JC's teachings. Actually, they are quite similar to Buddha's teachings. However, it's the followers that have twisted JC's words.

If JC walked today, fundie christians would crucify him all over again.

Nothing wrong with them at all. Weather or not he was the son of a god is a different matter entirely.

Nobody knows the teachings of Jesus. They only know the teachings attributed to him by Paul and a hand full of others who never met him.
