Isn't in great that we are all atheists with regards to:

Zeus, Poseidon, Mithra, Ra the sun God, Dyonisis etc.

We also agree that these are nonsense:
black cat superstitions, Alchemy, Astrology etc.

Wouldn't you agree that the only real difference between an Atheist and a Christian is that Atheists believe in ONE LESS GOD than Christians?

That's a very clever way to look at it and I got a good laugh. I'd have to say that is "A" difference but not "THE" difference. The biggest difference is that an atheist believes in nothing. An atheist chooses to have no beliefs in any higher power or any type of spiritual reality. A Christian chooses to believe in one God and His trinity.

More likely though, the Christian believes in one God because he was told to by his upbringing and has never read the Bible and thinks he knows his religion based on the interpretations of others. I'd have more respect for an atheist who studied religions and decided there was no God than a Christian who never opened a book and told the Atheist he was going to Hell.

Christians don't believe in:
Zeus, Poseidon, Mithra, Ra the sun God, Dyonisis etc, but it does not make them an atheists. This statement is flawed. We believe in Jesus Christ.

These are figures by various religions, not including christianity. Actually, people who believed in these false gods denounced Jesus Christ..therefore, hated christians, gentiles and jews.

To believe there is "one less god" or no god, is the only difference between christians and atheist.

Spirituality is born from a personal occurrence with a divine, psychic or mystical experience of one form or another which inevitably connects a person to All that Is/God/Goddess/Allah/Great Spirit /whatever you want to call it.

Religion is second hand opinion of someone else’s divine experience. I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, while spirituality brings people together.

Thank God that Spirituality is on the increase!

Actually, there is a quote that I have on my bio that sounds like what you are trying to say...
"I contend that we are both Atheists. I just believe in one less god than you. When you understand why you dismiss all other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." Stephen Roberts
Think about it people! It makes the most sense!

The limitation of christianity is that there is only room for ONE god, the god of that religion. Everyone else is WRONG! That is evilness in itself because then it creates rancor between groups. I DO NOT believe in god. But I do believe in treating people like I want to be treated-karma-and that what comes around goes around. I volunteer BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED HELP, not because I will earn a better place in the mythological heaven. Religion is the opiate of the masses. PEOPLE NEED IT.

An idea plagiarized from Stephen Roberts, plagiarized from earlier sources.

Yes, it's true. And there's no more evidence to support Yahweh than Zeus or Odin or Fenris Wolf ... well, except that I see Fenris Wolf when I have NDE's and OBE's. But I still don't believe in him.

Be careful, lots of people consider themselves Christians or Atheists and also believe in astrology...

I bet someone will try to guess what sign you are, based on your question...

The silly thing is they are ALL potentially the same thing... just different aspects of the thing we call "God." I prefer what the Hindus believe. That there is something without and within and it "that which cannot be named."

Is it going to be a problem that I'm a pagan and I believe in all those gods EXCEPT Yahweh? :)

Ironically, I get along better with the atheists than the Xians do......

No. Atheists don't believe in ANY god. You're making a lot of assumptions here. "Lumping" people together in absolutes is the major error in this category. I couldn't disagree more, because what you say is a contradiction.
