I'm trying to find a way to help all of us to get closer to God, I don't need a short answer just for myself.

Read the Word of God,pray,follow the commandments of God,worship,be kind to your fellow person,and form a relationship with God.A relationship with God is a very personal thing and cannot be forced upon you if you do not desire it.

Reading the word of the living God( the bible) is the most important. Worship, Prayer, Giving to the poor, and treating people well, will all help to get closer to God.
The bible says the greatest commandment is to love the lord your God, with all your heart soul, mind and strength.

If you TRULY want to get closer to God, read the Bible, I suggest starting with the Gospel of John - then going back to the beginning, so that you may learn His ways and walk in them. Accept Jesus as your Savior and ask Him into your heart. Open yourself to the Holy Spirit and let Him guide you. Numbers 6:24 YBIC

By careful examining of the scriptures and by personal study of the Bible. Read 1 John 2:17 John 17:3 hope this help some what. Perhaps you can attain a copy of what does the bible really teach.

There is no "we" in natural healthy spirituality. Spirituality is a faith of one. Religion is a morbid social organization with political agendas related to the husbandry of humans.
