The Scripture says, " The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing asunder even unto the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart", But it also says that our prayers go up before Him as "a sweet-smelling savor (aroma)", so I'm inclined to believe there's something to actually praying aloud and putting an effort into communicating with Him as well as "meditating upon thy precepts" as David professed to do.

God will get your answer no matter whether its verbal or not. He will see your predicament. He created you so He should know everything you do, think, and say and when you have troubles in your heart. Even if your prayer doesn't get answered right away, he will get to it. You have plenty of people in the world and they pray to. So next time you want to ask this, think about what I said.

You bet he does. When my mind is so clouded and I can't tell weather it's night or day.I pray to God to give me some clarity and the next day over the few days after that things get a sh*t load clearer, and I start thinking, "now why was this so d*mn confusing and hard two days ago"

Plus the fact I asked God to make sure we were safe driving home from michigan to colorado through a blizzard, So what does God do. turns out 2005 Toyota Camery off, for no reason.
Really after the blzzard passed the car turned on and worked fine as if nothing ever happened

I talk to God as though I am having a conversation with some one close. I might be in a taxi and I'll be (in my mind talking) Thank you for allowing me to see another day, give me the guidence and strenght to raise my kids in the ways that u see fit. Please remind to pray to not just when I'm a trouble or despair but to thank you for all that you have done for me etc

God answers your prayers, even though u may realise it, what u want now he might not give, but he could have other plans! U never know - just keep the faith and keep on praying silent or aloud long or short dramatic or calm

God does hear your prayers. God answers our prayers.

But God is not at our service, like a fast food worker in a drive thru.

We serve Him. He wants us to pray to Him to worship Him, thank Him, glorify Him, and even ask things of Him.

Our faith should not depend or vary based on whether or not God answers our prayers the way we see fit in the timeframe we see fit.

Doors will open and doors will close in our lives. Are we actively seeking the work of God in our lives? Are you ready to say here I am, Lord, take me. He is already at work in our lives and community. Often we are so self-consumed in money, our activities, our work, our future, etc. that all we talk to God about is asking Him to work out all our schedules and activities. That's sad.

God knows what we need before we ask it. He wants fellowship with us. He wants us to revere Him above all else. Prayer is an integral part of that...that is, getting in a right frame of mind - attitude - to bring glory to our Father.

Yes! And He does answer the desires of my heart and He answers my prayers also. I pray prayers that are in line with The Word of God and The Word of God gives me faith to ask and when I ask. God will answer all your prayers from the smallest to the greatest when asked appropriately, while living in obedience to His Word, and when the element of faith is present. PEACE!!!

I would say majority of the time. The only two things he haven't answered yet is being able to have a child and winning the lottery. Which I know he have good reasons for not answering neither. But I'm just being patient and hoping and praying for his will to be done in any situation.

He knows everything in our heart but our heart has to have the right motive when we ask Him for it.

This is God's word on the subject; James chapter 4

1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?
2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. YOU DO NOT HAVE BECAUSE YOU DO NOT ASK GOD.
3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

God won't give us something just because we want it..

I've actually seen this happen. Many times I just desired some things that I couldn't afford, and God simply gave them to me. I didn't pray, anyway I didn't tell God as in speak to Him "I want this," and that tells me that He lives, that He listens even to the heart's desires.

God knows the desires of our heart, and he answers our prayers, but sometimes it may not occur at the time that we want it. Trust me he knows what you need and what you desire, and if it is in his will it will come to pass.
