I think a better question might be: since it is obvious that God meant us to smoke weed, since we have receptors AND our brain produces its own THC, why is it illegal?
Hmmm. To answer that question: because some people get their jollies by controlling every aspect of everyone Else's life.
I asked some questions like this a while back and I quoted the Book of Mark 7:14-20 and the biggest answer I got was that it leads to Gluttony. I'm sure some of these Christians were typing as they were stuffing their third helping of pumpkin pie into their mouths and washing it down with another Irish Coffee.
