Dear Asker,
I am Muslim.
I would like to tell you that I never ever and in all my life called any non-Muslim is a non-believer. I don’t accuse people of being non-believers based on my believes. I have many non-Muslims friends and even family member’s whom I respect, care for and love. I have absolutely no problem with any religion what so ever. I refuse to judge other people’s way of believes or the way they practice their faith.
I am only a human being and I don’t have any right to label people or hate them because they don’t practice the Islam way of worshiping.
I hope from my heart that we all replace all this hatred toward each other – based on religions- with understanding and respect to each other’s different believes, color, ethnics and nationality.
I always go through this Yahoo section and I really get so hurt when people trash each other, or prophets or Jesus for no reason at all.
Why don’t we all accept each other the way we are and communicate to understand and learn, not by sending ugly messages to others?
Some askers will call prophet Muhammad offensive names. I really want to know: what do you gain when you trash a prophet that you don’t even know and you didn’t bother to read about him.
The conflict here, that some people think that someone like Osama bin Laden or Alqaeda or Mujahdeen are the symbol of Muslims.

As far as a Muslim is concerned, if you do not believe in The Prophet and the Koran then you are not a Muslim. However, Muslims refer to Jews and Christians as "people of The Book". Islamic law gives certain rights to Jews and Christians such as, but not limited to, the right to worship in their own way in private.
Islam also requires that protection and assistance be given to foreigners and travelers, in my travels I have always found this to be practiced.

This is not true, Islam never consider the other two main religions as a "non believers", actually Islam confirming that it is a complement for Jewish and Christian religions. perception is reality..If you dont believe truth, you accept falsehood.. Noah had people who believed him to be crazy..those who followed him are considered believers and those who opposed were considered what??? non believers and eventually perished. we dont - I say non-Muslims
but in a sense arent you a non-believer ? you dont believe in the Quran or Prophet Muhammed
I similiarly am a non-believer in Christianity (but a believer in Christ)
Christians and Jews are considered Ahl ul Kitab (people of the book) by Muslims - it is allowed to eat their slaughtered meat and for Muslim men to marry their women (with conditions)
