Actually duct tape works like a charm. Seriously, it does. It keeps oxygen from getting to the wart and thus the wart dies. You need to keep the wart covered 24/7. Just remove it twice a day and put on a clean one. You say the wart is on your knuckle so it won't be inconspicuous, but it is much less damaging than the freezing spray. You have to do this for about two months or so until it is completely gone (down to the root).

the only thing that I have found that gets rid of a wart is "duct tape"
I had mine frooze off my hand when I was younger then they came back 5 years later. I used the duct tape and they never came back. you just take a tiny piece that will cover the wart, put it on and cover with a band-aid. I used it all day long and took it off at night to let it air out and did it again the next day. It will eventually go away. I think it took mine about 5 days. it doesnt hurt either, you'd think it would pull on it, but it doesnt. good luck. my sister has been to the dr. 3 times to get hers frooze off and its still there. she also went through 2 of the freeze offs you buy at the store. I told her about the duct tape 2 weeks ago and its starting to go away ( she has a huge one)

When you open your eyes in the morning, before you get up or do anything. Lick your finger and rub the wart. Something in early morning saliva does the trick. Do not forget for even one morning as you will begin from scratch again. It will take about 3 months. You will wake up one morning and go to lick it and it will be gone, goodness knows where!!!!

If it is a plantar wart, there is a "seed" inside it that is causing the wart. If you can find and remove the seed, the wart will go away. They can be too small to see, though. That's when you use that freeze off stuff. Or a doctor can freeze, cut, or burn it off for you.

An old wives tale is to rub it with a penny and then bury the penny in the garden, I'm not promising it works but hey, it's worth a go!
Alternatively you could go to the chemist and get some Compound W, or Bazuka, they should do the trick.

Either - Thuja available from your health food shop in tiny tablets - which you could take as well as painting it with Betadine (I think it's called) an iodine type prep from Boots.

or
The banana skin trick - cover daily with a small bit of the inside of a banana skin and a plaster - takes 2-3 wks

My brother was told (by a doc) to use the milk from dandelions. It isn't really the season though, so you could get it freezed off (you can buy the stuff at supermarkets) or you could just wait till it disappears naturally - in about two years or so!
