Can you use soy milk instead of the regular milk when baking cakes, brownies, etc.? Does it have the same consistency, or is it less tasty?

Baking is a chemical science that is very intolerant of adjustment and substitution. Generally, using Soy Milk instead of Cow Milk will ruin whatever it is you try to make. Soy Milk lacks many of the proteins and sugars that make baking work. You may find some exceptions (like pancakes) that work OK. But, I can pretty much guarantee that if you try a cake with Soy Milk, it will completely fail.

Try using it in smoothies with banana and frozen fruit of choice. It will taste delicious! Milk shakes will also work. You could make a creamy soup or buy a soy milk flavor that you like, and mix the two together. It will taste great in mashed potatoes as well.

I have used it when using bisquick for my waffles and biscuits. It seemed to do ok, didn't notice any difference really. I always buy vanilla soy milk, and use it even when making pastas and such.

I have used it and it is fine. I like to buy the vanilla flavor because I find the flavor better for most uses.
