Okay, so if I saw an 11 year old asking about dieting, I'd complain at them, too...just so that you know it's not just you!! And, just for the record, when my daughter was your age, I would not have allowed her to be on a diet, either.

The truth of the matter is that your body is VERY BUSY right now, trying to finish growing. It's gonna be another few years before it has finished up, and what it's doing right now is very important.

If you start dieting at your age, you run the risk of not being able to finish this important process...That's the concern about damaging your body. Please, really...please continue to give it the nutrients it needs, and let it be healthy while the process is still going on.

If you're concerned that you're overeweight, the trick (for now, and for the rest of your life, really) is to exercise. Get on a soccer team, or a softball team, join the cheer squad, or even ask your parents if they'd get you a gym membership so that you can run year-round on the treadmill. It's a good habit to develop early, and will take off what you consider extra pounds, while still allowing your body to intake what it needs for the growth process. On top of all that, exercise gives people more energy, and gives their muscles a better shape (think tush here!)

For people of any age, dieting can be dangerous, as you end up reducing the important parts of the food, along with the calories.

For people of any age, exercise is the most effective means of maintaining a healthy weight, and keeping your body in peak condition.

Work on being healthy, and you'll find the weight that's right for your body.

As long as you use your head, you WILL NOT DAMAGE YOUR BODY. You probably don't want to go on a "diet" simply because at your age, you do need a whole lot of food to keep up with how much you will be growing, but simply eating healthier will help you lose the weight you don't want. Just use common sense in what you eat, absolutely no refined sugar (soda, candy, any juice that isn't 100% juice), eat more often but don't let yourself get overly full. Cut out any greasy food like pizza, fast food, and anything fried. No white bread or white pasta (wheat pasta is actually quite good), and plenty of fruit early in the day. There is nothing wrong with eating healthy, but again, at your age you have to make sure you get enough calories to make sure you have enough calories to make up for your fast metabolism and growth.

Are you overweight by medical standards? If not, then you shouldn't be on any kind of diet. Your body is still growing and needs proper nutrition. If you are overweight you should see a doctor who can recommend a healthy eating and exercise plan for you.

Being too skinny is just as dangerous as being too fat! You need to be really careful.

that's not basically an attack on gay voters, or sensible human beings.. that's an attack on human historic past. yet when you consider that at the same time as have Christians ever felt undesirable about sh*tting on historic past? lol i'm 1/2-gay for all time, for regardless of it truly is nicely worth. :) @ben: " gay human beings have already got equivalent rights. they opt for particular ones." So, passing a bill to rigidity public preparation to coach precise historic past is a "particular" correct? Jesus assfucking Christ! someone call the police, the gays are operating wild! Why the subsequent problem you recognize, they're going to be....coaching precise technology! And we received't all correct have that, now will we!? you're a grade A douchebag, benoni.

Nowadays anorexia is a usual phenomenon. You are young, and it is normal that people around you are against you when it comes to diet. They are afraid. You may are not that fat and you must not forget that your body is now developing. I was a bit fat at your age and short. 5 years later I am slim and tall, and have never tried for it. Accept your body as it is for the moment. Be careful but avoid putting urself in schedhule to lose pounds. You may harm your body.

it has nothing to do with your age, it has to do with your body type, but since you included no details about that, its hard to say, talk to your doctor or school nurse about their opinion of whats healthy for you
